Amid the rush of the holiday season, NOVA invites you to an evening of stillness, warmth, and celebration. Ola Gjeilo’s Serenity and Arvo Pärt’s Magnificat create space for contemplation, alongside Randall Thompson’s Alleluia, Stephen Paulus’s The Pilgrims’ Hymn, and Brian Martinez’s Ubi Caritas. Familiar carols and holiday favorites bring moments of brightness and nostalgia, from Patapan to White Christmas. Moving between quiet reflection and festive energy, SERENITY offers a chance to pause, listen, and share in the season through the sound of voices together.

NOVA’s spring program invites us to slow down and notice the beauty, humor, and human connections that fill our lives. Jennifer Lucy Cook’s Time opens a conversation about how we spend our days, while Eric Whitacre’s Five Hebrew Love Songs and Cecil Effinger’s Four Pastorales explore love and the natural world, with the distinctive colors of violin and oboe. The playful Bumblebee and the Beatles’ Blackbird join music by John Rutter, Moses Hogan, and Gwyneth Walker in a program that moves from intimate observation to exuberant celebration. TIME TO NOTICE makes room for the moments we too easily pass by.
