NOVA opens its first full season under Artistic Director Brian Martinez with music of awakening, wonder, and renewal. James MacMillan’s O Radiant Dawn calls for light, while Benjamin Britten’s Rejoice in the Lamb finds extraordinary meaning in the creatures and details of everyday life. Randall Thompson’s Frostiana brings seven poems by Robert Frost to life, moving through rural landscapes, human choices, humor, and quiet reflection. Margaret Bonds’s Supplication offers an intimate expression of longing and the desire to love and live fully again. AWAKE invites us to listen with fresh ears and rediscover what moves us.
